Hey guys,
Today was pretty standard, so nothing new there. However, today I am going to briefly talk about my Art GCSE and what I need to do.
Ok, so I have started the 'Portraitare' section of the course. For the first part I need to find, investigate and make a direct response to 5 different artists who have done portraitare; I am given a list of artists to choose from or I can find my own. The problem is I have taken a look at the list and I don't like the look of the artists, It's just I am looking for someone who is unconvential, someone who's work is different from the standered self portrait.
As well, when i say a direct response, I mean I basically imitate one of the pieces but change it so it is about me. For example, I take an Andy Warhol piece and copy it but instead of Andy's face, I put my own face in it.
As I was saying, I am looking for an artist that does things differently, mainly because I just don't really like the style or look of them, I just can't imagine myself in that style, if you know what I mean.

Assassin's Creed Chronicles China IS AMAZING

Hey guys,
Today I spent about 4 hours playing one game, that game is Assassin's Creed Chronicles: China. Now usually I wouldn't spend 4 straight hours playing a game, I would take a break. However, this game is different. The music is beautiful, the artwork and the graphics are amazing, and on top of that the gameplay is addictive, I just couldn't get enough of it. I recorded it as well for my YouTube channel, so I will let you know when that's up. But I have done other games before on my channel. A Fucking terrible Day

Hey guys,
Sorry about the swearing, but today has been utterly shit. School was alright, bearable. But I have spent the last SEVEN hours trying to fix my computer, It just won;t let me connect to the internet. I am currently writing this on my sisters laptop. But I have looked through 6 different forums, 10 YouTube videos, and none of them has fixed my problem! I can't connect to the internet with MY homes Router, when I was at my aunt's it worked fine! But No when it's here, IN MY OWN FUCKING HOUSE! It doesn't work, I run the troubleshooter to be told that I am missing one or more network protocols. This is stopping my from connecting to my router.
I HAVE FUCKING SPENT THE LAST SEVEN FUCKING HOURS TRYING TO FIX THIS.
Now I will be the first to say that I really depend on my Laptop, so when it breaks I get really upset, because It seems that everything I fucking care about gets fucked WITH!
Sorry, I am just extremely upset right now, and it's not because of the computer.

Some exciting news!

Hey guys,
Before I start I wanted to say sorry about not posting yesterday, this laptop I am currently one is the school laptop and, well, sometimes it's fast but sometimes it is incredibly slow.
Anyway, onto my exciting news. Before I give it to you there is some context to tell you about. At my school we have three houses: Kingsgate, Botany and Walpole. I am in Walpole. Also at my school we have a point system: You can get points for being a good student and if you get the highest points out of everyone in your year, that week; then you get a certificate. HOWEVER, the points had no real reward and no incentive, as well, the houses where only used on sports day and we also get house points but they were worthless and we didn't know how to get them.
BUT! There has been a total revamp of the system, everything except the houses have been scrapped. All the points and house points have been replaced with Merit's. You can only get a maximum of 2 per lesson (This is to stop the unfairness of giving out points) and there has to be a good reason for giving the merit. As well as merits, there are also commendations available, these are for exceptional work.
Now I know what you might be thinking: "But these merits and commendations still don't have an incentive." But there is one. Each merit is worth 5p, and a commendation is worth 20p. Now, for each year in their hub/common room, there is a shop with 5 different categories of items to buy: £1, £2, £3, £4 and £5; however, as well, exclusively for the Year 11's £5 and £10 vouchers for different stores are available. You, of course, have to spend time saving up your merits ad commendations to buy something good.
As well as this, a new thing has been put in place. Now at your secondary school or whatever, you might have had something like a house captain or head boy/head girl. Well, it has been put in place that there will be a House Captain for each house, as well, they have a Vice Captain to assist them in being ambassadors for the school. AS WELL AS this there is also a sports captain and a vice-sports captain for each house. They organise competitions between the houses (sporting ones).
So that is the whole revamp process describe, oh and one more thing: the captain's can only be the Year 10' (going on Year 11's, my year).
But that is not where this ends, take a look at this picture:
THAT'S RIGHT, I was elected by to be the HOUSE CAPTAIN! I have never been a house captain. The perk of being a House Captain do include: an automatic seat on the school council, being an ambassador for the school and a awesome BADGE! There is other stuff but I am not sure what yet. Anyway, This was awesome! I am so happy. Because I never thought I'd make it to the stage of voting.
You see, I had to put my name forward for the position, the list of people where then shortlisted by the current school council, AND then that final list was given to the teachers to decide who they wanted to vote for. they had about 5 votes each, I think.

Hey guys,
Yesterday, I didn't post as I said, well, because I had nothing to write about. However, now I do.
Ok, so once a month I buy this magazine called 'Total Guitar'. It is a guitar magazine (shock horror), but in this month's issue, it was focused on an interview with the guitar legend that is Eddie Van Haling. So to accompany the interview with Eddie, TG were give a 'EVH Stripe' to give away! Here is a picture:
It costs about £629, it has a single humbucker pick-up and it has the iconic (and trademarked) stripe paint job.
I have no idea about the odds of winning, but I think they are stacked against me. Nevertheless, you have to in it to win it.

Ill, Internetless and no posts

Hey guys,
The last time I posted, It was the Wednesday when I was at my Aunt's house. However, the next day I went back home, and that's when the trouble started.
You see, that day, I fell super ill: I had a fever, a runny nose, a flemy cough. As well, my computer wasn't letting me connect to the internet, but to fix it I needed the internet! That's a paradox if I saw one.
I have to catch up on some work, so I will do a another post later.

Thumbnail Hijinks!

Hey guys,
Before I start, It is the 1st OF JUNE! Where did May go?!
Anyway, last night I was talking to some of the fellow Yognau(gh)ts (People who like the Yogscast). One of them looked at my YouTube channel (Armada TV). He said that it was a nice channel, which is good. However, he thought that some of my videos didn;t have custom thumbnails. He was mistaken, he was talking about my ReactPLUS videos, which have custom thumbnails of selected frames on the video. He said that they looked like YouTube auto thumbnails. He also suggested that I customise them a bit more. So I did.
