Back to school

21:09- Monday 2nd January 2017

Hey guys,

I was planning to post after new years eve after the countdown, but I was tired that I completely forgot. 

Tomorrow I am going back to school for term 3, I think. Anyway, it will be a Tuesday so my timetable is as follows:
Period 1 & 2 - Biology

Period 3 - English? 

Break

Period 4 - ICT

Period 5 - PE

Lunch

DEAR time

Period 6 & 7 - Maths

Overall it's pretty boring day compared to my other days. 

Now, you may be wondering what 'DEAR Time' is, well, DEAR stand for Drop Everything And Read. So basically, DEAR time is the main focus of the DEAR initiative. That is a program that my school is running in order to promote reading and the Accelerated Reader software. Accelerated Reader (or AR for short) is app/program that tries to promote reading. So the idea is that people read books, they take a quiz on that book and get awarded points based on the percentage of correct and the book level. The book's ZPD level is based on something that I have no idea about. But everybody takes this STAR test at the beginning of the term and that gives that person a ZPD range so they choose books that are within that range. There's a lot mumbo jumbo when it comes to this, but I'm not going bore you with it.

I've gotta pack my school bag and I've got to get an early night because my taxi is turning up at 7:35 instead of 8:00, which is a bit annoying because that's 25 minutes earlier so I'm going to have to get up earlier but I'm used to it, so it's going to be one of those "winging it" situations.

Goodbye 2016

Hey guys,
We're almost 3 hours away from 2017. It's crazy to think that the year is almost over. So many great things have happened. But before I get to that, can we just take a minute to pay tribute to those that we have lost this year. Whether it be someone that you're close to or someone famous, we've lost people this year and they'll be greatly missed. One and all.

So, let's think about the good things from this year.
Well for me, lots. I started a band called Roadkill Roger. I raised £103.70 in a sponsored silence. I became one of the house captains of my school. Loads of things have happened to me this year. Now I don't want to be a bragger so I'm not going to continue.

Now, even though this has been brief. I want you guys to know that I am so grateful that you guys welcomed me back to blogging. I don't think I would have continued after that post a few days ago if it didn't receive 10 views in the minute that I had posted it. Because I'm glad someone is reading my ramblings. It makes me feel good inside.

Been watching Mr.Potter and friends (+ my book and My Focus Jam )

Hey guys,

Now even though the title could suggest that I have been watching some new kids show. I'm actually talking about Harry Potter. Lately, ITV has been showing the entire series. My sister has gone and recorded them and is watching them. I'm in the lounge when she is watching, so that means I watch them as well. Now one thing I can say (even though I've watched all of them it loads before) I noticed new stuff and I realised the quality of storytelling that the films (and I'm gonna assume the books as well) possess. It's utterly brilliant in the films because you can see certain plotlines develop through visual cues.

Anyway, enough about Harry Potter. I am going to talk about a book that I'm writing, Beautifully Ignorant. 
Basically, It's a romance between this kind of loner called Daniel (no connection) and a girl that he meets called Abi, however, there are things that get in the way including Daniel's past/problems and Abi's problems. I'm writing it on Figment.com, the first two chapters are up and I'm almost finished with the 3rd. Anyway, I've put the cover I made for it.

Hey... It's been a while.

Hey guys,
Daniel Mawardi here. It's been a long time, I know. It's been about 5 months since my last proper post, and I'm sorry for that. I didn't want to stop doing the blog but, as I started my final year at secondary school, I just fell out of practice and routine, so when I went to write the next post, I just didn't feel the motivation. 

However, that's changed now. On the days leading up to the 18th Dec, I felt a bit disappointed. This is because the blog would be 1-year-old on the 18th. So I decided to try and get back into it. But once again when I sat down on the 18th, I just couldn't write about anything. But over Christmas, I felt like I had you guys down, massively. Because for a solid 9 months, you guys had kept on reading. I am sorry that I just disappeared. 

Alas, I am going to start blogging again, I hope you guys can forgive me for just vanishing.

A busy time.

Hey guys,
Just a short one because I have some work due tomorrow. But I just wanted to check in. Now I haven't posted since the bginnning of the school year (sep) because I have just been soooooooooo busy. Like last week I had Work experience, and I have so much work to do for school. Now I have lots to say about my work experience week and I am super excited to tellk you guys about it. So I will do another post (possibly tomorrow morning) about it.

Super Busy

17:23-Tuesday 13th September 2016

Hey guys,
Now I am really sorry about not posting. For Wednesday and Thursday, the school computers weren't working, so I couldn't get onto Blogger. For Friday to Sunday. I was super busy, so I had no time to post, my bad, sorry.

Now, I am up to my eyes in schoolwork. I will post again when possible and fill you guys in on everything. Thanks for being patient with me.

Back To School Tomorrow

23:16- Tuesday 6th September 2016

Tomorrow is the first day of school. It is the beginning of my last year at my school (Yr 11). I spent all day packing my school, and when I say packing, I mean looking all over the house for my stuff!
